What I liked
Nice new maternity unit..........
What could be improved
Nice new hospital, perhaps the NHS should employ enough staff to provide adequate care to all patients.
The communication between staff and patients.
I was sent home at 8pm with twins, why do they discharge you at night, the night before two ladies were discharged after 10 pm!
Adequate drip stands as i was left nil by mouth for over 18 hoiurs before i was informed my op had been cancelled!!!!! Lucky i was in hospital and they could sort out my dehydration,oh but they couldn't because there were no drip stands!
The canula and drip were provided mid afternoon but they never set it up!
I should not have to wait 40 minutes every time i buzzed for a nurse.
Anything else?
As a new mum i didn't know anything and i wasn't even shown how to put a nappy on, the twins werent even bathed after 3 days, they came home covered in blood still and i had to bath them at 9pm that night.
I was on the ward with twins and no room, there were spare rooms and I was told i'd be moved, but it never happened.
My babies were cold by the time they got back on the ward as they weren't covered up in theatre.
