Advised by 111 to go to a and e burton. Arrived checked in and assessed within 15 mins. Given appropriate holding treatment and waited 8 hours for bed on cucumber ward.
At all times monitored and reassured. Day 2 on ward - seen by consultant, reassessed and monitored what I consider appropriately. Consultant Dr Gill dedicated, efficient, effective and informative. His team of medics and nurses equally dedicated and hard working. I observed stressful situations handled effectively and sensitively.
I was reassured and so grateful we not only have a free health service but some of the finest medics, nurses and support staff anywhere in The world. I have travelled quite extensively and have taken an interest in how other countries manage their health system.
I find Spain have great hospitals but no money to staff them. Likewise Italy, Portugal etc. France/ Germany, score reasonably well, America is really bad news. So please any patients out there show your gratitude to these dedicated Drs and nurses who come from all ethnic groups but adopt The 💕British ethos of genuine pride and care in the work they do. From myself and with particular regard to CCU my sincere thanks to all concerned.
