My wife and I cannot thank the staff enough for the care that they provided for me while I was in three parts of the Hospital. Information was provided and my needs were attended to. This made a quite stressful experience bearable. Every member of staff with whom I came into contact provided an excellent service. The consultant and anaesthetist made sure I was fully informed before I had my operation, and staff provided information and guidance afterwards. Having en suite facilities in my own room, with access to TV and radio made a stay in hospital better than it could have been.

I'm delighted that all teams across the emergency department, surgical assessment unit and ward 3 worked together well to ensure you received all the support and information you needed.

Lovely to hear that you are also impressed by the new facilities at The Northumbria - we want those important little touches to be in place to provide care of the highest quality.
