"Exceeded Expectation"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My experience today, during a procedure to remove a suspect mole on my face, was outstanding.

I was treated with dignity and kindness and I felt involved in the decision making. Including the dressing of the wound.

Staff were friendly and reassuring. The surgeon gave me every confidence that they were sensitive to the prominence of my mole and subsequent wound /scar and exercised care and attention to this during planning and surgery.

The pre theatre waiting was immaculate and as comfortable and private as possible.

Thank you. I really don't think I could have expected much more had I been treated under private health care.

Perhaps as a daycare local anesthetic patient I didn't realise I would wear a gown etc so might have been prepared with flip flops etc to avoid wearing my socks boots. But as I gained my appointment as a cancellation

I might have missed this preparation.

Thank you for an extremely positive experience.

Dear Cheryl, thank you for taking the time to review Plastic Surgery at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Your comments will be passed to all of the teams involved.

We are delighted that you had such a positive experience (apart from the socks!) and felt involved in all aspects of your treatment.

Best wishes, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
