"Disgusting 'computer says no' attitude"

About: Sentinel Healthcare Southwest Community Interest Company

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with diabetes 3 years ago and tried to get onto the education programme. At that time it was not available, recently I contacted the PALS service at Derriford Hospital and informed me it was available and I was eligible. I was referred to my GP who then referred me via the local referral service. I was contacted by Sentinel with prospective dates of which I chose. Unfortunately I had to re-shedule but on contacting Sentinel was told the person who dealt with this was on holiday. They took my details and told me they would contact me on her return.

I have now received a new appointment without consultation on 2 inappropriate dates. On contacting Sentinel I wad told that I could not change it and that it was a 'two strikes and your out' policy. I informed them that I was not cancelling but rescheduling but was informed that the computer system did not allow it. I was given alternative dates with a "I'll let you off this time". I am absolutely disgusted that a supposedly ' community service' is run by a "computer says no" attitude and I am extremely offended by the attitude of your operative whose flexibilty was non existent and treated me with disrespect. I am copying Sentinel into this message and requesting their complaints process a swell as the complaints system for thier Social Enterprise and IAG system. If this is indicative of community support I am totally disgusted.
