About: Woodend Hospital

(as the patient),

I have had had 3 Athriscopy surgeries on my knees and had been referred once again after many more months of waiting lists to Woodend Hospital orthopoedics since I joined the referral merry go round in 2011, as I did not want to endure any more surgeries I had asked what my options were and was told I could have injections to both knees to help, still waiting on any kind of feedback / information or contact since

Dear Patient

It sound like you have had a very difficult experience with your knee. Communication is often at the root of complaints about the NHS. Not knowing what will happen next is a discomforting feeling in any situation but especially where you health is concerned. I am very sorry that you have been left in this situation of not knowing.

Thank you for taking time to post your feedback and highlighting the impact that poor communication has on those receiving care. I hope that any NHS staff reading this will think about how they communicate the “what happens next” with their patients.
