"No bedside manner"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Ward 11 was the worse ward for noise at night time staff seem to forget it is night time they may up but people are sleeping. They talk so loud leave lights on and forget to turn them off does no one talk in a quite voice anymore even at 2am.More respect needed.

My poor mum lives in fear about ever having to back. The ward needs a good cleaning and the toilets well they need sorting out the smell and for a week one of them in a bay was out of order.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We do appreciate the importance of taking actions to minimise noise levels at night and the impact of not sleeping on the welfare and recovery of our patients. To that end, the Trust has put a number of measures in place, which include making 'sleep packs' available. I will discuss the concerns you have raised with the ward manager and Matron to ask them to remind staff of the importance of keeping noise levels to the minimum and ensuring that 'sleep packs' are made available.
