A&E review -
Positive points - easy to park & free, helpful & pleasant staff,
Downside - for a children's hospital seems very clinical, not much to keep the children occupied whilst waiting - apart from drinks & food machines which were costly!
Main Hospital - out patients fracture clinic
Positive points - car park easy to get to & get space, helpers at check in friendly & helpful, staff overall in all parts friendly, polite & courteous.
My daughter wants to give a special mention to the plaster room although we didn't catch their names the staff were amazing & so friendly putting my daughter at ease & having a laugh with her.
Again doctors were great speaking directly to my daughter explaining things & happy to answer all questions.
Downside - although the building is amazing as mentioned above for A&E it feels so clinical for a children's hospital. I always remember the old hospital with paintings on the walls, seems little touches stay with you even as an adult. I was never scared going there, here feels very grown up & for little children must seem quite scary.
Not sure if this is just because the hospital is still brand new & not all finished.
Parking - they should make it clear it's only £2 to park, great value considering the cost of most hospital parking.
Overall amazing fantastic hospital that got the job done & the staff were efficient, friendly & deserve a lot of credit for an excellent job.
