"Three months wait for a scan that turned out to..."

I was referred to Hainault for a scan for my pelvis. After three months of waiting I finally had my scan and it turned out that I had a tumor on my ovary the size of a tangerine. It took a further month to exclude the diagnosis of cancer after I was referred to a London Hospital. I dread to think what could have happened if my tumor had been malignant but the anxiety took a toll on my mental and physical health with my blood pressure shooting up.

If they have such long waiting times then they should warn people on the waiting list so they have the chance to see if there are any alternative clinics that can fit them in sooner.
