"Excellent care from everyone"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I arrived in A & E on Monday evening with severe abdominal pain, a problem that I have had for a wee while.

The staff were so good, informative & caring.

I was kept in and moved to ward 18 then onto ward 13, in both wards all the staff were amazing, approachable, understanding & very professional.

I simply can't praise them enough especially as I have recently had terrible experiences with an entirely separate medical service.

So thank you all I appreciate the time & effort put into my care.

Dear Yve, Thank you for letting us know about your recent good experience. I would like to pass this on to the staff involved in your care. However, we do not have Wards 18 and 13 at the Borders General Hospital and I wonder if you could confirm if you were admitted to a surgical or medical ward?

Kind regards.

Dear yve

Thank you for getting in touch and for your positive comments in relation to your visit to the Emergency Department, as well as being an inpatient here at Wishaw General Hospital. I am sorry to hear that you were unwell and indeed hope you are recovering well.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in the clinical areas that you have mentioned. All staff work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.

Best wishes

Faith
