My dad recently attended A+E on Thursday 25th of February following a severe burn to his hand. We attended A+E at around 18:30 and we were home just before 9:30. The A+E department was exceptionally busy it appeared on this night with many people waiting to be seen. I was absolutely blown away with the efficiency, helpfulness and promptness of all staff that saw my dad on this night, right from the very kind receptionist who was on the front desk through to the doctor and nurses who treated my dad. Unfortunately all that we ever hear when it comes to the NHS is negative feedback, people complaining about waiting times, care received etc. Very rarely do we hear about the fantastic job that we receive as patients, from GP surgeries right through to hospitals. My dad was treated with respect and dignity and that is one of the most important things that any patient could hope for. I wanted to personally say thank you to all the staff that tended to my dad on that evening and have seen him several times since for dressings, you are doing an exceptional job!
"Thank You!"
