I had a major heart surgery (aneurism) at Carlisle Infirmary on 20 December 2009. Intensive care and post-operative care (2 1/2 weeks) at Carlisle, further post-operative care at Penrith Hospital (8/9 days) and subsequent care at Keswick Hospital have all been 5 star, in every department: my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to everyone involved.
