My wife(over 6 months pregnant) is admitted into the maternity ward on emergency.
I has to go through hazzle in the first place to be admitted as they are sending us back and forth between A& E and maternity ward with my wife in a wheel chair. when they finally admitted her in the ward after an hour wait. Intially we didnt get good response and treated as if we are an extra work but soon one of the midwife realise it is more serious and started the treatment straight away and done the test(s). Doctor's mentioned my wife was admitted at right time and was in the hospital for next 4 days .
During the stay at hospital it depends on the nurse on duty. at times we had fantastic nurse/midwives on duty who took real care of my wife and at times my wife is treated as " Object" , we are very disappointed at some of the Nurse's.
To even make the things worst, we had a unPleasant/Uninvited
Visitor( mice----yes mice ) in to my wife room where she is being treated for infection..
I didnt alarm anyone but went to the midwife room and informed in quite as i dont want to creat a panic situation. Midwife said they will inform the Supervisor and get pest control in and asked if we would like to change the room. I said "Yes please".. but again the midwife never came back.
Hope they have investigated the incident and discussed in the Meeting As D4 and informed infection control manager..
"Very Poor Infection Control"
