"Cannot make an appointment for my mother"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Podiatry

(as a relative),

I have been trying for two weeks to make an appointment at Cleckheaton podiatry service for my mother to have corns treated. The care home where she lives said that she had been complaining of her feet hurting and refusing to wear tights even though the weather was colder.

When I examined her feet I could see she had corns and knowing that she regularly had a podiatry appointment at the Cleckheaton Health Centre I called them to make a further appointment for her. Every time I call there is either a message stating they are experiencing a high number of calls or I just cannot get through even though I hold on for 10 minutes at a time. I’ve been trying every two days for the past two weeks.

How do people make appointments?

Dear Eaten298

I am sorry you are having problems getting through to us. I am not sure if you are calling our Single Point of Contact number which is open 24 hours a day. It has been very busy recently but please do try again, we are working hard to rectify the situation.

If you try after 5pm, the lines are much quieter.

If you don't manage to speak to anyone please do contact me directly.

Best wishes

Sarah
