The dr we saw was very nice and we were pleased with the treatment we received for our son. He is 11 months old and went in with a very high temperature. After an initial assessment we had to wait for an hour to see if the initial treatment worked or we would have to go to hospital. Instead of making us wait in the main waiting room with a very poorly baby the dr less sit in a smaller waiting room and between cuddles and breast feeds we read our son the books on hand and let him play with a distraction box of toys that had been donated by a charity - brilliant right? Well we were trying to keep our son as quiet as possible but my partner overheard ambulance staff who appeared to be using one of the treatment rooms as an area for socialising complain that it was noisier than usual. And when we got back from being reassessed all the children's books and the box of toys had been removed. Believe me when I say that we were being as quiet as possible and that our son would have made a lot more noise if he hadn't been read to (I was whispering the stories) or had the toys to play with and I think it's an insult to the charity that donated them too.
