"The exceptional levels of care. ..."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The exceptional levels of care. My husband was nearly killed by a speeding driver who hit him as he cycled to work. He had a smashed pelvis amongst a huge array of injuries and we were sent to John Radcliffe for him to have his pelvis fixed. He was treated on ward2a and the level of care was excellent from the consultant through to the man who brought round breakfast. It was a frightening and traumatic time and all the staff involved treated both my husband and my self very well. I can not thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication.

What could be improved

The trauma unit used to have their own PICC line team but funding was withdrawn. My husband had to wait a long time to get his PICC line inserted and missed some doses of medication as a result. Funding to reinstate this crucial service is needed.

Anything else?

Thank you to everyone and keep up the good work.

Thank you for your comments, which have been passed on to the staff on Ward 2A. We greatly appreciate all feedback from our patients.
