After a recent fall, I had to visit the above depts.
I was seen promptly in C U C where I was assessed and subsequently treated for a broken wrist. The staff I met were friendly and professional and put me at my ease in this stressful situation. I don't remember their names, but the GP who assessed me and the nurse who applied a backslab (which was admired by other staff in the fracture clinic!) I would particularly like to thank.
I was then contacted a couple of days later by the fracture clinic, as promised! Again this was an efficient and friendly service. A scan booked and telephone contact from the doctor in clinic as promised.
With the on-going building work and temporary buildings staff are working in I can see how challenging working in this area must be at times.
I am a nurse myself and know how demoralising negative comments can be and how few positive comments are feedback from grateful patients.
I would like to say it would have been easier if I had been able to add these comments directly onto the hospital website but the link was not working.
Many thanks.
