Went to see GP as have repeated infections leading to severe flu like symptoms over many months ( had seen GP previously and had 3 day hospital emergency admission but symptoms come back every few weeks).
GP insisted symptoms reflux due to my age, despite me having no symptoms of reflux.
Mentioned contagious infection my young son had recently died of, and asked about being tested for it to rule it out as my symptoms same, and I had prolonged and close contact with my son, while he was in isolation due to infection being contagious. GP said they had never heard of the infection and was very rude and unpleasant to me because they had never heard of it. Asked for referral to specialist at hospital who could test for it. Request refused. GP insisting I had reflux, despite having no symptoms of reflux. My throat is red with obviously swollen tonsils. GP said throat looked fine.
I normally have blood pressure at the low end of normal. Blood pressure has consistently been abnormal. Told "normal".
Asked for support re son's death, which we had repeatedly asked GP practise for, GP aggressively replied that you don't get support if you don't ask for it.
