I don't think ive ever left a review about anything but felt so compelled to do so after my experience today. I had a neurology outpatients appt today and have never felt more undermind and belitttled. The doctor fired questions and rushed through questions with little regard for my answers, concerns or needs and snapped at like a child. During the examination I was shouted orders and when I didn't follow was treat with distain. When trying to explain my experience on current medication Nd how difficult im finding side effects I was told it's better than pain. At the end I waa trust a piece of paper a told to read the instructions, it was for blood tests but they didn't have the politeness to quickly explain what these were for but abruptly ending with im done now you can go. I wasnt given 30 secs to discuss any outcome, possible diagnosis or my worries at all, it felt like I was wasting their time and they didn't want to be there. The NHS do an amaZing job and fully understand the stresss of being stretched in the public sector, but for someone just hoping for a little empathy or understanding or even just a polite mutual respect to another person, instead I went to my car and cried, not something ive ever done as a 33yr old woman. I just found it hard to understand how no matter how stressed we all get that we can't smile and think this person needs 5 mins of my time and understanding, they might be scared or vulnerable and as a professional it's my role to support that
