Things were alright before meeting staff from the Social Inclusion and Wellbeing Service. They gave me a kick up the backside. Before that I was missing something. They got me on a Creative Writing Course, then a Film Course, then a Photography Course. That has kept me busy, otherwise I would have been sat around, smoking. It has stopped me smoking as much, as I am occupied.
I used to volunteer at the Sue Ryder charity shop in Sherwood, but I wanted something closer. I now volunteer at the new Marie Curie shop in Bulwell. I can catch a tram there. I really enjoy it, especially on the till. It is a good skill to have. I try to do 5 hours.
Nothing could have been done better. I just want to say thank you - it has been productive. It bothers me a bit if I am discharged, as I will lose the support. It has been part of my life and has filled a gap.
"I just want to say thank you"
