"Waiting times and getting in touch"

About: Southmead Hospital

When you have a neurological complicatiion, the last thing you need is 6 months between consultation appointments - and the staff refuse to allow my local hospital to run scans, follow-up etc. My new appointment is now a further two months away and trying to phone today for a cancellation apt. was ridiculous - number 15 in queue. I have also been waiting (so far) five weeks for travel expenses (as I'm out of work due to the condition I need to claim travel to Bristol) I am aware of 'cutbacks' and 'shortages' but this is no excuse at all.
