I was taken to A&E with a possible neck and spine injury and had a neck brace and was strapped to the bed.
I was left by the doors of A&E and it was absolutely freezing as the doors kept opening and closing.
I was desperate for the toilet and could not get up and had asked the ambulance man to alert the nurse as I could not go of my own accord.
I waited and waited until I thought I would just get up and go anyway.
My son went and asked and was rudely told that they had much illler patients than me and I would have to wait.
I realise they were very busy but it was a 5 minute care need.
Worse of all I had a wrist band put on me and twice asked if I needed pain killers.
I said yes both times but never had these nor was I offered any water.
When I got home I took the wrist band off and 'it was not me!'.
This could have the potential to be a life threatening mistake.
Busy or not the right wrist band should go on the right person.
"A worry"
