I stayed in Ward 3 for 3nights on 8th-11th dec 2015..and was impressed by the sheer dedication and hard work of an understaffed workforce ...I had left epididymo-0rchitis and though didn't have surgery was put on iv antibiotics after an utra scan for swelling fluid on left testicle. my only two complaints were as I was constipated I asked several member of staff for a 2 day period for laxitives and was given them eventually but surely a phone call to a doctor would have done the trick !! ..they were so busy . the other thing in a urology ward there is only 1 toilet for 6 ward patients ..they should be at least two as several times
I had to make the journey to the day room toilet about 50 yards away and also at times the condition of the toilet was unacceptable, blood urine spilt on floor around the toilet . this should be cleaned daily ! apart from that the professionalism of the staff from tea staff to senior nurses and doctors was exemprally !!
