"Orthopaedic aftercare"

Having had two knee replacements over the past two years I was very impressed with the procedure and the four days I spent on Stannon ward. However I felt that once the operations and normal recovery time was over it was difficult to get any real help with the continuing pain I have had and still have in my right knee. There seems to be a sink or swim attitude once the operation has taken place. I wonder if I have unlucky or whether there are people who feel the same.?
