i was given an appointment yesterday to attend DMH fracture clinic, i phoned DMH to explain that i was disabled and had no way of getting there on my own, after a few phone calls the receptionist phoned me back last night to say an ambulance had been booked and to make sure i was ready to go at 08.00 am this morning, i sat and waited like an idiot, no ambulance, so i phoned DMH and asked where my transport was, they twice put me through to the wrong department so had to waste more money and time phoning the hospital back, i was eventually put through to the right people to be told that there had not been a booking made for me at all, so now (with a fractured knee, disabilities ect) im told i have to wait until tuesday, to be seen at the clinic, disgraceful and unacceptable , i will attend on tuesday (provided transport eventually turns up) but after this fiasco im going to ask to be referred to durham in future. Now its asking when i visited the hospital and that field must be filled in, so had to put todays date december, but as you can see.. thanks to them i never got to attend
