I was an inpatient on Allerton Ward for 1 week near the end of September. Even though I work at the hospital, I was apprehensive about being a patient. The nurses were amazing, always took the time to have a chat, calm me down, reassure me. The care I received was outstanding from the doctors, nurses, consultants, HCA's and domestic staff. One particular emergency medicine registrar stayed longer after their shift to see me which I was very grateful for.
Particularly, two nurses and and the HCA. They each deserve WOW awards! Very happy, smiley, caring- showing all the 6 C's.
I was admitted and discharged on 2 separate weekends, and saw twice the amount of Doctors than on the weekdays. I was very impressed. Thank you.
