(as a service user),

I’m 85 and have a few health conditions.

Day care is great. The staff come and collect me from home. Without it I would be on my tod.

You don’t get to twiddle your fingers here, there is always something to do. We do a lot of crafts and quizzes. It would be good to do more exercise, get my legs moving or go for a walk as I don’t get out much.

Everyone is lovely, the staff can’t do enough. The staff understand what’s wrong with me and know how to support me. I wasn’t feeling well this morning but I wanted to still come as I thought it would make me feel better. Now I’ve had my lunch, I feel a bit better.

It’s a wonderful institution for older people who are stuck inside like myself. I really appreciate it.

It is, as you would imagine, very satisfying for us when we hear stories about the positive aspects of the service that we provide through the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
