"Absolute joke!!"

After unfortunately going into A&E for a work accident (something stuck in my eye) I was dealt with in the usual manner of waiting 3 hours, and being dealt with by the doctor expertly. After been given the all clear they then made me an urgent request to visit the eye clinic for an assessment. I then went to A&E to make my (urgent) appointment, it was the Thursday 26th and I was happy that they could fit me in the following Monday the 30th. When I arrived the following Monday after leaving work 3 hours early to their inconvenience because of the short notice, paying £4 for parking, was turned away at the reception. The receptionist said it said urgent next to my name so I responded with 11 day wait doesn't seem urgent to me , my appointments today. They then made a phone call and said they could get me in the next day, which I was baffled... If the earliest A&E can get me an appointment is 11 days time with my (urgent) assessment how can they get me in the very next day at short notice!! I appreciate hospitals are a busy place and mistakes can happen but I pay my taxes as well as everyone else and should be dealt with without simple mistakes. Absolute joke not happy at all!
