The staff in A+E were amazing they were extremely busy and still were caring and proffessional, and until just before I left CDU I was satisfied with my treatment there.
I was in a single room with its own toilet and when I went to use the toilet I was shocked to find that it had not been cleaned, there was dried blood on the floor down the front inside of the pan and sanitary wear not flushed.
When I went to the nures station to report this and ask if there was another toilet I was pointed in the direction of the ward opposite this toilet was also filthy with excrement all over the rimm of the pan, i asked if there was another toilet this again was filled with something to large to be flushed by look of it.
When I went back to the nurses station and told the registrar and ask if there was another toilet I was pointed in another direction to another toilet.
Not one person came to apologise or look it was only when a nurse came to remove my canular and I told them that they apologised after looking themself and putting a sign saying please clean on the door.
I was really appaulled with the lack of cleanliness my coat which was on the armchair in the room was covered in dust when I left to be honest I could not wait to leave and left with out my discharge letter and asked for it to be posted.
