"Total knee replacement surgery"

Having had my first knee replacement a year ago in Yeovil I was given the option to have my other knee done at CircleBath under my same consultant surgeon. Although a distance from my home I was very happy to take up this offer. After my pre-op assessment I was given a date for my operation which was 3 weeks away. I was asked to arrive at 7am on the day of the operation where everything ran extremely smoothly. I met with my anaesthetist and we agreed a Spinal Block with no sedation. I then met with my consultant who explained everything clearly again and fully answered any questions I had. By 9am I had been taken through to the theatre preparation room where all the staff were extremely friendly and reassuring and every action clearly explained. As I was not being sedated I was asked if I would like to view the whole procedure on a screen. On being taken through to the theatre my consultant again outlined procedures and gave me a running commentary as I watched on the screen. The whole atmosphere was friendly but reassuring and I felt totally relaxed. Any questions I asked were always answered clearly.

After the operation I was taken through to recovery where again the staff were friendly and reassuring before being taken to my lovely en-suite room. I can not fault my care as well as the facilities within my room and the excellent meals. All Staff were attentive throughout and any questions always answered clearly. It was truly a wonderful experience for which I was very grateful.
