"Being discharged"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Being discharged

What could be improved

There seems to be no organisation or communication between nurses and patients and no information is given to patients. I was admitted and sat on my bed for 2 hours before anyone noticed I was there. I was never advised how to use the equipment - bed buzzer etc. On many occasions my drip provided essential fluids was left empty for many hours despite advising the medical staff. Pain relief was required many times before it was actually administered on one occasion I asked 4 people over the space of 2 hours and in the end I had to struggle to the nurses desk up the corridor (where the nurses were gathered chatting and gossiping) where I ended up in tears virtually begging for pain relief and my drip changed) it had been empty hours) and it was the hottest days of the year. I was disgusted with the care I received. The night staff were very rude and not sympathetic. I hated being in this hospital

Anything else?

I hope I never have to go here again.
