"Physio Direct is a great service"

Physio Direct is a great service. I visited my GP hoping to be referred to a physio as my back had seized up and stayed inflexible for several months. I'm a bit of a workaholic and tend to neglect myself if I'm busy.

I spotted the Physio Direct number in the waiting room, talked to the GP about other issues and called PD later from home. They were so efficient and effective for someone in my position. I was able to ease my back using exersises recommended over the phone and by e mail which was exactly what I needed. I'd become unsure about what movements would be safe to do or what might make the situation worse and over the phone I was advised and reassured. Fantastic! Now, if I feel stiff or have twinges of the old pain I know what to do for myself. I also was shown how to move and advised on small lifestyle changes to help me not to get the problem again.
