"struggling to get repeat prescriptions!"

(as the patient),

I have been told by a specialist that the medication I need is so important yet I have had problems everytime my repeat prescription is due. With the pharmacy blaming my doctors surgery and vice versa. I called up today and tried to explain my circumstances and was basically left with no help or support and when I asked to speak to somebody in charge I was told the person I was getting no help off was in fact in charge. Iam very disappointed with the care and support I'am receiving but Iam not sure how to go about it. I honestly feel like giving up on my entire treatment as it is causing me to much stress as I keep hitting a brick wall and my health is suffering due to not being able to get vital medication that the doctors say I need. I would like to say that the care I have received from the doctor who has been treating me has been exceptional and I'am very happy it's just the after care or lack of it should I say.

I share your disappointment in how your repeat prescriptions are being managed. The process for you to get repeat medication should not be complicated and should not be causing you stress. I’m sorry to hear you are at the point where it is making you feel like you want to give up with your treatment. Please don’t do that. I’m sure this can be resolved.

I would like to apologise for your poor experience and would be more than happy for you to contact me on 0151 295 8607 to discuss this. It would be good to unpick why this is happening and look at what we can do to make sure getting your next prescription can happen much more easily.
