The operation went ok and the nurses were really helpful (particularly one who was really nice when I got a bit tearful) but why did I have to have this done in a hospital over an hour from home and why did I have to be discharged the same day. I felt so ill when I was discharged I wasn't up to arguing with them about it but I really don't think I was ok to go home that evening (my blood pressure was dropping, I was really nauseous and I had gone kind of yellowy grey which is never good). I stress that none of this is the fault of the hospital - its the policy of clearing people out of the beds as soon as possible that is the problem.
