Our now 10 year old son was admitted to ward 20 at Wishaw General Hospital as he was very ill with Acute Glomerularnephritis which resulted in a 10 day hospital admission and over the past few years he has attended the Paediatric Outpatients Clinic at Wishaw General.
Fortunately our son's care was maintained at Wishaw General and this was due to excellent communication between the Medics in Wishaw General and the Renal Team at Yorkhill who liaised with each other on a daily basis in regards to his condition and The Paediatric Team at Wishaw provided his care under the direction of Yorkhill Renal Team.
We would like to bring to your attention how pleased we are at the excellent care our son and ourselves received during his hospital admission and follow up at Paediatrics out patients clinic. We feel that nowadays we do not express enough the good and positives in life but are quick to express the bad and negatives.
It has been a particularly difficult time for us and our little boy but all the team from Paediatricians to nursing staff made things a lot easier for us, their care, professionalism, knowledge and explanation has been second to none and made us very much at ease and comfortable to ask questions. Their people skills shone through.
Our brave son is precious to us and it thanks to them that he has made a full recovery and it was tears of joy on Friday when he was discharged from this outstanding team. His care was lead by Dr Thin Thin Saing, Dr Cunningham, Dr Heather Maxwell Renal Yorkhill, Victoria Causer Renal Nurse Specialist and Louise Dietetics.
What an excellent team! Keep up the good work.
