"Visit to The Castle Outpatients"

I had cause to visit the Castle Outpatients today and have nothing but praise to offer.

How smoothly and efficiently the system of registration on arrival worked. The electronic appointments board kept me informed and coffee etc was available. The staff on the desk were smiling and helpful, giving clear instruction.

During the process of having a mammogram and ultrasound in Radiology and a consultation back in the Department of Breast and Skin Surgery, I met with nothing but calm, kindness and clear explanation.

My son joined me as I waited, informing me that a porter had shown him the way. Later, another member of staff, realising we had emerged from the lift on the wrong floor, stopped to advise.

Though I could see it was a busy day, I felt valued and had the impression of dedicated staff in a well managed operation.
