Our Dad is currently on Standish Ward with end-stage heart failure and, sadly, we now await the inevitable.
We, the family, were very concerned when we knew he had to go into hospital as we were very dissatisfied with the treatment both he and we received in the past when he was on Ince ward.
Standish Ward is the complete opposite. Every single member of staff: medical, nursing, domestic, catering have shown my Dad and ourselves the utmost of care, dignity and respect through a very difficult and upsetting time.
Standish ward is an extremely challenging ward for the staff who require a high level of skill and vocation to excel at their job; which they all do. We have nothing but respect, admiration and thanks to all the staff for the excellent quality of care and compassion that we have received.
Thank you so much
"Standish Ward- exemplary care"
