"Thank you for transforming my life"

About: Ninewells Hospital / General Surgery Ninewells Hospital / Plastic Surgery & Burns

(as the patient),

In June and 3 years previously I was an in patient at Ninewells. In 2012 I spent many months under the care of Mr Alijani And Mr Patil and the wonderful staff on ward 11, they literally nursed me back from being very sick.

There were also so many wonderful people from other departments, palative care nurses, diabetic nurses, dieticians and Verity who was the "Reiki lady! " The ward assistants, all these people helped me, sometimes just with a chat! So thank you.

Then in June this year I was under the care of the wonderful Ms Fiona Hogg, again I can't thank her and her team for transforming my life, literally, what a caring compassionate lovely person she is, from in patients to wards and after I can't thank people at Ninewells enough, it angers me when I hear people moaning about the NHS, give it a rest and be grateful we have this great service!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience on Patient Opinion. I am delighted to hear that you have received such wonderful care, both within Ward 11, Ninewells Hospital in 2012 and more recently under the care of Ms Fiona Hogg. As you say, we so often hear only the negative stories. Staff continually strive to ensure the best care experience for all our patients and they will be delighted to hear of your appreciation. I will ensure your thanks are conveyed to them.
