"Utterly depressing!"

i was recently admitted to ward 8c and after spending a week there I was left with despair and disappointment. The nursing staff do their best but there isn't enough of them to give you the proper care.I woke from surgery in the middle of the night in a empty ward, I was so scared and confused and in 2hrs only saw a cleaner come into the room which left me very vaunerable. The ward itself is decorated in a dull grey/beige and there are no falcilties such as a tv or radio so your stay is depressingly slow and utterly boring.

I decided I had to get myself better to get out of there quickly so I stopped my morphine the day after surgery and dragged myself out of bed for exercise.

The toilets in the wards are low down and weirdly the tiolet paper is behind you so twisting was painful.

I really could go on but I can't spend no more of my time on this bad period of my life made worse by ward 8c.

If someone reads these reviews and cares please put more nurses on these wards and put more thought into the care and attention patients need after some of the most traumatic times they may possibly go through and please brighten up the wards they feel like death wards.
