"Children's a&e and willow ward"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

After an unexpected visit to children's A&E department yesterday I just wanted to thank everyone for the fantastic treatment we received from start to finish. My 7 year old son fell over whilst at a soft play facility yesterday and broke his wrist, from the minute we arrived we felt looked after, kept informed and more importantly seen immediately. After examination and X-ray it was decided that my son would need to go to theatre as he had broken two bones in his wrist which he would need to be put to sleep and a wire inserted to secure the bones. We were transferred to the children's ward were the staff were amazing with my son. We met a play leader who instantly made my son feel at home by wheeling up a playstation to his bed putting the smile back on his face certainly taking his mind of his arm all went well and he went to theatre last night, after an overnight stay i can happily say we are back home now and resting. thanks for looking after us.

Dear Mel98

Thank you for this glowing review of our children's A&E and Willow Ward, both have been informed of your very kind words. We do hope that your son is feeling much better now and will soon be back bouncing around, as all boys love to do.

With best wishes
