"Friendly care after motorcycle accident"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

After a recent motorcycle accident, I had to take a trip to Grantham A&E. Unfortunately due to deep lacerations on my left knee & elbow, I had to be committed for further analysis.

With this I had to go down twice, once for general cleaning of the wounds & then another for stitching the wounds. This turned out to be a six day stay in Grantham hospitals Ward 2.

Whilst here I felt that all my needs and requirements were met, including being fed, medicated & being provided tea, probably more than most were requiring it.

Yet I cannot fault the staff in any way, all helped in a friendly and timely manner. So I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all doctors, nurses & catering staff for all their hard work in helping me recover, they all gave 120%. Best regards to them all.

Dear antogti

We really try to make the patients experience a good one – and the promise of chocolates is always an added bonus!!

We are always overwhelmed by the patients replies and it boosts the morale on the ward every time we get one

Best wishes

Julie
