"Ward 33. Compassionate , Dedicated & Caring."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

my step father was admitted earlier this year to ward 33 (RLI) . With chest pains and was after being assessed was admitted to this ward . We live in London and the hospital were aware of our situation ( traveling) etc . And they kept us well informed by phone and were very sympathetic at all times . We had planned to travel to see my step father on the Wednesday , but unfortunately he took a turn for the worse on the Tuesday eve . They immediately informed us and advised it would be better for us to travel there straight away .... We got there at 1.00 o'clock in the morning and they let us see and stay with our step father for as long as we wanted . Made us very welcome . Nothing was a problem to them . And made us a tray of tea and biscuits .... ( my step dad had perked up by this time) which very often is the case ... So we retired for the night and arranged to go see him the following day ... Again in the morning the hospital rang us and said would we like to go visit him straight away as he had got worse ... We were with him until he passed away . And we are truly grateful. Thanks to the professionalism of the staff. And their knowing and knowledge. That he was not alone and had his family with him .

To the doctors . Nurses & staff , that they kept us informed at all times on his condition . And we're very friendly, professional , kind ,caring , compassionate and dedicated . Not only to the excellent care they gave my step father . But also to all the care understanding and support they gave to all of our family .

I and all of our family can not thank all the ward . Hospital . Doctors nurses and staff enough .... They showed so much care and kindness it has and will leave a lasting impact on us all ... Always.....
