"Shortage of wheelchairs between departments - Royal Hallamshire"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

(as the patient),

The procedure (injection in spine) was done by the doctor at the surgery day unit who explained it was to help the acute pain in my back I have had for a long time affecting all down the right side of my body. I wish I could have been assured that after having the same procedure done before (twice) it would work. I am apprehensive and hoping this time it will be more successful.

Because I have difficulty walking I do have a 'medi car' fetch me and bring me back home, but shortages of wheelchairs which are necessary to get to different departments can cause problems.

I would like to thank the pain clinic, Dr N Plunkett, staff nurse, and most of the nurses and staff.
