"I was made to feel at ease"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I recently attended the Day Treatment Centre at RPH for a Lumbar puncture, I was quite nervous but the HCA that looked after me (sorry I've forgotten her name! ) was brilliant, she made me feel at ease and made the whole thing a lot easier, she clearly knew the procedure very well and gave me all the information I needed. I want to say Thanks very much to both the HCA and the doctor who did the procedure for their great care.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experience. As a Trust, we recognise the importance of good communication and a positive staff attitude to the overall patient experience and have, over the past 12 months, been working with our staff to enhance those aspects of care. I will. of course ensure that your kind comments have been shared with staff in the neurology department.
