Having suffered with food poisoning for several days, and on the recommendation of NHS111 I arrived at 9.45pm on 14th July having suffered from bleeding from bowel. From the receptionist who booked me in, the nurse who took my details to the doctor who did an examination I received first class service. The night was very busy with many men with limbs damaged or broken but there was an overall calm about the place. The final results of my blood tests came back at 2.40am and I was allowed home with the comment the symptoms could last another 7 days! No more pink lambs liver for me! There was a fairly long wait between each procedure - I had my blood pressure etc taken 3 times. They do a difficult job with compassion and care - don't knock the wait - someone ahead might have needs greater than yours.
