"3 hour wait to book an appointment"

Was sent to Frimley Ny another hospital with a letter telling them what is wrong and that i needed to book appointment for fracture clinic they sent me to a and e I was sat there for 3 and half hours to just be told I need to make an appointment. I am meant to be seen within a week it will be three weeks by the time I get seen so who knows how my foot will look.

Dear Kelly We apologise for the long wait in A&E. This was due to some difficulties receiving x-rays from the hospital that sent you to Frimley. The clinician who treated you needed to review these x-rays to ensure your treatment was appropriate before a follow-up appointment could be generated. Sorry that we were not able to provide an appointment until later this month. We are currently working with the fracture clinic team to speed up appointments. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulties with your fracture, please return to A&E for further assessment.
