"Wonderful care for my son attending Wishaw Emergency Department and having Orthopaedic operation"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had an acident at home and I brought him to the Wishaw Emergency Department. The extent of his injury required him to have a hosptial stay and an operation and as you can imagine this was an extremely distressing time for me as a mother. The care and attention of all the staff from the Emergency Department to the Paediatric Ward and Surgery was remarkable and I cannot thank them enough for helping me and my son through this time. He is recovering well and I am very grateful to the hospital and the staff for their care and compassion shown to us.

I am sorry to hear of your son’s accident, however really pleased that he is making a good recovery. The staff in ED and Paediatrics will be delighted that you experienced care and compassion throughout your journey and I will make sure they receive your comments.

Dear Faixs66

I was sorry to hear of your son's accident and hope he continues to recover well. It is always reassuring to receive positive feed back from patients and parents about the care we deliver within Paediatrics and I would want to personally record my thanks for the positive comments you have made about your son's care and treatment. I will ensure that this is passed on to the staff involved in his care during his inpatient stay.

I hope that your son returns to full fitness in the shortest possible time.
