"Peter hodgkinson centre"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I would like to say how thankful I am to The Peter Hodgkinson Centre for their help that I have had for some 12yrs now.

I have always been and still am an outpatient.

The way in which I was diagnosed was right nice professional way caring, perfectly to say really.

I was so thankful to them because they where honest with me in the way you should so I knew why I was like I was.

I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and voices and visions.

Schizophrenia because of the missuse of cocaine.

Voices and visions because of being sexually abused.

Yes this hurt at first some what but I soon realised they know you know why you have what you have and know you understand what psychiatrists are talking about to you with my treatments of counselling etc.

I would also like to thank The Crisis Team for the right nice professional caring and effective help I have had, thanks so much you have saved and helped on numerous occasions over 12yrs of being an outpatient your The Best trust me.

One thing I must say to other people that are new outpatient and would also say inpatient, is that please be 100% honest with the Peter Hodgkinson Centre people ie the psychiatrists, counsellors, nurses etc.

The reason is if your 100% honest with them they know you 100% so they then know what plan to put into effect to cure you perfectly and as happily and quickly ss possible.

If you lie they can only cure you for what you have been honest about because the honest things you said are reallife facts about you

the lies are not, hope you understand where I am coming from.

Thanks again Peter Hodgkinson Centre

Take Care.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your experiences of accessing the Peter Hodgkinson Centre and the Crisis Team. It is always nice to hear how patients and carers feel about their involvement with services.

As a Trust we value patient and carer feedback about their experiences of our services so that we can continually monitor how we deliver and maintain services. As you pointed out, to improve the experience for our patient’s and carers we need to listen to feedback, good or bad, make changes based on that information and measure the improvements.

I would like to assure you that your feedback and particularly your comments in the second paragraph of your email will be shared with the management team when looking at improvements to services.

Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you well on your recovery journey.

Gill Hunt, Team Leader, Acute Care
