On a Bank holiday weekend I suffered a severe bladder infection which I knew could only be treated with a course of antibiotics. I phoned the help line quite late in the evening and gave my details to a very patient and understanding person at the other end of the line. She promised a Doctor would call back soon - this happened after only a very short time, but nevertheless the Doctor apologised for keeping me waiting. I was offered a late night appointment at Kingston hospital, but said I would be able to cope until the morning. I was given an 8. 30 appointment the next day, was seen by a very competent and kindly doctor who prescribed the antibiotic I required but only after giving me a thorough examination, testing a urine sample and asking more relevant questions. My hospital visit took only 15 minutes in total.
I was very pleased with the treatment I received and all the people I spoke to were extremely helpful
