"Getting a GP appointment"

I had to try lots of times to get an appointment at my GP at Princes Park Health Centre. When I finally got through the receptionist was able to give me an appointment but said how lucky I was. Patients should not have to be 'lucky' to get an appointment when they are ill. It certainly did not reassure me. I'm now thinking of changing my GP practice (very reluctantly as my family have been patients there for many years) to a practice where getting an appointment isn't a matter of luck.
